Minecraft Creation Essentials

July 25 - July 29

In this beginner course,  Skill Samurai provides foundational computer science training using Java and Minecraft. Covering key coding concepts such as basic conditional statements, loops, and functions, we build a series of progressively more rigorous projects that provide a solid foundation in Java programming. Students will build a number of custom mods including swords, blocks, ores.

Kids will learn real Java code while making a custom axe that shoots fireballs as well as a repulsion shield that shoots enemies into the air!

Advanced students will progress to forging their own custom sword with special powers.

If students have the additional time they will be able to code their own fire breathing dragon and equip it with armor.

In this course you will:

✔ Create a fireball shooting axe and repulsion shield!
✔ Learn Java Programming
✔ Learn about variables, functions, and conditional statements
✔ Embark on 4 Epic Quests
✔ Complete 19 Coding Challenges
✔ Create a custom-designed axe, mob arena, and shield

Students may not complete all of the activities during the week of camp. This program is also offered as part of our year-round weekly classes.
